Shipping & Delivery Policy
1. Service area
GullyDrop currently delivers only within the city of Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. We do not ship outside Jamshedpur. The exact serviceable pincodes are determined at checkout based on your delivery address; if your address is out of range, you will see a message before payment.
2. How delivery works
- You place an order via our WhatsApp number, website, or mobile app.
- The order is routed to the nearest participating merchant who has the items in stock.
- Once accepted, an independent delivery partner is dispatched to pick up the order from the merchant and deliver it to your address.
- You can track the order status (placed → accepted → preparing → out for delivery → delivered) on the Platform or via WhatsApp updates.
3. Delivery time
Orders are typically delivered within 20 to 35 minutes from confirmation, depending on:
- Distance between the merchant and the delivery address
- Merchant preparation time, especially for items that require weighing, cutting, or packing
- Traffic and weather conditions
- Availability of delivery partners at the time of the order
The window shown on the Platform is an estimate. We make reasonable efforts to meet it but do not guarantee delivery within a specific minute.
4. Delivery hours
Standard delivery hours: 07:00 to 22:00 IST, subject to merchant operating hours. Specific merchants may operate shorter hours; their open/closed status is shown on their listing.
5. Delivery charges
Delivery charges, where applicable, are calculated based on order value, distance, and the time of day. The exact charge is shown on the order summary before you confirm payment. Promotional waivers may apply.
6. At the time of delivery
- Please be available at the registered delivery address during the estimated window.
- For Cash on Delivery orders, kindly keep exact change ready.
- You may be asked to share an OTP with the delivery partner to confirm hand-off.
- Inspect the order before signing/confirming. Report any issue immediately to the delivery partner and via our support channel within the windows specified in our Refund Policy.
7. Failed delivery / customer not available
If the delivery partner is unable to reach you (no response, address inaccessible, or refusal to accept) after a reasonable attempt and a phone call:
- For non-perishable items, we may attempt re-delivery the same day or refund the order, as you choose.
- For perishable items (vegetables, fruits, dairy, bakery), the order may be cancelled and a partial refund issued, since the goods cannot be safely re-delivered.
8. Force majeure
We may pause deliveries on short notice due to events beyond reasonable control, including severe weather, civic disruption, network or payment outages, and public-health restrictions. In such cases your order may be cancelled with a full refund.
